A few months ago, I submitted a photo to a Colorado Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) for their contest. The winning photo was going to make the cover for the Colorado Springs 2012 Official Visitor Guide. I found out about this contest only a few weeks after we moved to Colorado Springs and so my options as far as photographs of the COS area were quite limited. Luckily, my husband and took a trip to Pikes Peak shortly after our arrival and so I had at least a few shots to submit, mainly of the Pikes Peak area.
A few weeks after my submission, I received an email from CVB letting me know that my photo made it to the final round. I was beyond excited and happy to know that I had already made it this far, judging there were many other great photographers who entered the contest.
Well, below is the new Colorado Springs 2012 Official Visitor Guide and I am so honored that the winning photo on that cover is mine! Be sure to pick up or order a free copy.
